Yemanja

Yemanja icy waters cut deep
Salt sharp and taste so sweet
Love drunk mortals are swimming
In your foam growing
Many say they have forgotten
How captivating, you collect all the lost souls
Life forms all you swallow never to make them feel hollow
When we taste your gaze
Yemanja spells us to dance in acceptance

Yemanja don't make it a habit of Fighting
With the world you live in
Because You are disturbing
Water that is at peace
But let me not tell a lie
It's beautiful, how the waves of the water dance
it resembles the veil and wrapper you had on
When we sang your praise
Yemanja don't you dare not dance

Yemanja otutu omi yin ge okan mi
Iyo to kan to de dun bi oyin
Ife to my awa araye a de de tin we lo
Ninu afefe ose to oun hu lo
Ayimoye to won wi pe won to gbagbe
Ife to efi my wa si aya yin
Gbogbo eranko aye le je ki o ni emi
Ki a kan gburo emi yin
Yemanja maa ye ma jo

Yemanja ye ma ja
Pe lu Aye toun gbe ni nu
Ni to ri Ound da mu
Omi toun simi
Su gbon je kin ma pa ro
o dara bi Omi naa seni jo
O jo iborun ati iro ti o wo
Ni gba ti aan ko rin ke pe re
Yemanja maa ye ma jo
